Awards

Startups are an important part of the Fintech South community. Innovation Challenge is an annual program that recognizes innovative U.S. fintech startups located in Georgia. Eligibility for the program, which includes both cash and in-kind awards for the winning company,  is limited to founders of early-stage companies who have raised less than $1.5 million in funding and are headquartered or founder(s) located in Georgia. During the month prior to Fintech South 2024, the founders of our 2024 cohort companies engaged in a full month of curated education programs and mentoring that have become a hallmark of this world-class startup engagement program presented by the Technology Association of Georgia, the producers of Fintech South.

Our cohort of companies will participate in a special showcase event where the founders make their pitch and receive candid feedback from an all-star group of fintech VCs, founders, and experts. At Fintech South 2024, our top 5 finalists will compete on the Mainstage for a $25,000 cash prize!

EXTENDED Deadline to apply: July 12, 2024

A panel of judges will review the entries and notify recipients by July 22.

TAG Fintech ADVANCE Awards is an annual program that recognizes innovative U.S. fintech companies.  We are looking for established firms that stand out for helping the financial industry move forward through innovation.  The award is open to mature enterprises of all sizes with strong ties to Georgia, that are providing tech innovation, growing, and making a difference. 

TAG FinTech ADVANCE Awards finalists and winners will: 

• Winners will be recognized on stage at the Fintech South conference on August 27-28. 2024. A representative is required to be there to receive the award.  

• Finalists will also be recognized with their Logo at the stage at the conference.  
• Winners will be featured on the Fintech South website, on the society’s website, social media.  
• Winners and finalists will be included in a press announcement from TAG.  
• Use of the award logo 
• Winning companies will receive two comp passes; Finalist companies will receive one comp pass.

Deadline to apply: July 19, 2024

Starting in 2010 with retired Synovus Financial Corporation Chairman and CEO Jimmy Blanchard, the Technology Association of Georgia’s Fintech Society has honored industry leaders who paved the way for Atlanta to be the global fintech hub it is today. Each year’s honoree becomes a new inductee in the Georgia Fintech Hall of Fame. This is one of highest honors in Georgia’s thriving financial technology community.

For 2024, we’ll honor Barry C. McCarthy, President and CEO of Deluxe, as our newest inductee to the Fintech Hall of Fame! Read more about Barry’s accomplishments and join us at Fintech South on Aug. 27-28.
